Smart LED strips

I’m thinking of setting up my own room with smart LED strips but have no idea where to start with. As there are a lot on amazon and dont know any good brands to choose from.

I think other than the larger more well known brands like Hue and Lifx, you’re going to find a lot of the LED strips are largely the same in terms of quality. Either go for a cheap set - I find they last a couple of years before the LEDs start failing depending on how much you run them for, or go for the more expensive option and hope that it lasts!
